
Deputy Director for Innovation and Implementation – National Centre for Nuclear Research
Since January 2, 2023, he has been Deputy Director of the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ). From 2019 to 2022, he worked at the Łukasiewicz Centre (Łukasiewicz Research Network) as Deputy Director, and then Director of the Research and Innovation Department, where he was responsible for activities related to supporting the research and development activities of Łukasiewicz institutes, particularly the acquisition of research projects. He was also responsible for the work of the Łukasiewicz Competence Platform on Project Management and cooperation with universities and research organizations. He participated in the work of the European Association of Research Organizations (EARTO), including on technological infrastructure, the Horizon programs, and impact assessment of research organizations, as well as working groups of the European Commission (including technology roadmaps for industrial sectors). He has been involved in collaboration with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and European Partnerships in the Horizon Europe program, as well as the European Digital Technology Hubs (EDIH) network, established with the participation of Łukasiewicz institutes. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Łukasiewicz-ITECH Scientific Council.
From 2018 to 2019, he worked at EIT Food CLC North-East, where he was responsible for coordinating activities related to the EIT Food innovation strategy implemented in Central and Eastern European countries, including building a portfolio of startups and supporting them, improving the qualifications and competencies of entrepreneurs, scientists, and public sector representatives. From 2009 to 2018, he worked at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the Department of Innovation and Development, where he was responsible, among other things, for programming the EU’s 2014-2020 financial perspective in the area of research and innovation. He represented the Ministry on the OECD’s Technology and Innovation Policy Group, the Standardization Council of the Polish Committee for Standardization, the Regional Forum for Smart Specializations in Poland, and the Working Group on Regional Innovation Strategies of the National Centre for Research and Development.
He earned a PhD in Management Sciences from the Warsaw School of Economics in 2009, and since 2013, he has been collaborating with the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw, where he teaches courses in project management, technological foresight and business models, and operations management.
