Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements PIAP
Piotr Szynkarczyk, PhD, DSc, Eng. (employed at the PIAP Institute since 1993) is the director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Industrial Institute of Automation and Measurements (PIAP). He is the co-creator of the first Polish pyrotechnic robots, Inspector and Expert, used in Poland and abroad. He is the author and co-author of 12 patent applications and over 70 scientific and technical publications in Polish and international publications. He has been involved in the successful implementation, marketing, and global sales of special-purpose mobile robots for many years, and also provides expert guidance on the development, design, and production of these robots at the Łukasiewicz-PIAP Institute.
He holds a postdoctoral degree (2019), a graduate of the Polish-American postgraduate program in Commercialization of Innovative Ventures and New Technologies, conducted by the University of Lodz in cooperation with the University of Texas at Austin, USA (2010), a Ph.D. (2000), and a master’s degree in robotics (1992). In 2023, he completed postgraduate studies at the French Institute of Management, obtaining an Executive MBA.
He was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2015), the Gold Medal “For Merit to National Defense” (2015), and the Bronze Cross of Merit (2005).
