Director of the Lukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation
Paweł Stężycki is an experienced leader and engineer who has combined his passion for technology with working with people for more than 20 years. He began his career at General Electric, where he developed and managed large teams and projects in leadership positions. In 2018, he was appointed director of the Institute of Aviation, and from 2019 he continues his mission as director of the Lukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation.
Currently, Paweł leads a group of 1,500 engineers and scientists who work on cutting-edge technologies in aviation and space. With his extensive knowledge of the functioning of large industrial enterprises and his enthusiasm, Paweł successfully develops solutions that find practical application in industry both domestically and abroad.
In addition to his daily duties, Paweł is an active member of international aviation organizations. He serves as vice chairman at the European Research Establishments in Aeronautics Association (EREA) and coordinator of EREA Future Sky. He is also vice chairman of IFAR, the International Forum for Aviation Research. He serves as national representative to the Aerospace, Security and Defense Industries (ASD) and the Advisory Council for Aviation Research and Innovation in Europe (ACARE). He is president of the Polish Aerospace Industries Association and the Polish Aeronautics and Space Association. His commitment and expertise contribute to the development of aviation technology at the international level.
